I think I reworded this a la Cytoshape. Anyways, I love this card as a blue common. ---Seeonee This had "Draw a card" on it, I'm sure. --- zu I don't remember that. I think it's pretty good as is, but if we need another blue cantrip, this is a pretty good candidate. ---Dragoon I checked and zu_Faul's original submission did cantrip. I see no real reason for or against it; it doesn't feel underpowered as-is or overpowered without it. I think it is worth mentioning that while the cantrip might convince you to use it earlier, this card will always be fantastic in the situations it's built for: slipping a Thief Novice in, then cranking its power up off their Darksteel Colossus. ---Seeonee Or, your own Fickleflame. --- zu Wow. I think you just won the combo game! ---Seeonee Yay, Fickleflame stays the same! And cantripping could be okay. ---Dragoon After testing with GM, I suggest this card's wording change to "Target creature's power becomes equal to another target creature's power until end of turn." That way the cantrip can't be fizzled so easily. ---Alabran Disagree. It currently uses Cytoshape's wording. That means it only targets the creature whose power is changing, and therefore only fizzles if that creature dies. ---Seeonee There was no reason to make Cytoshape more difficult to fizzle because if the changing creature would die, there would be no effect anyway. There have been other cards worded this way where destroying both targets are necessary. Soul's Fire is one recent example. ---Alabran Let me double check: are you arguing for or against making this easily disrupted? ---Seeonee What is up with the line breaks recently, it has become very hard to read. Anyhow, he is arguing against making it easy to disrupt, mainly so that you get the card even if one of the dudes is removed in response. This came up when he kept casting Agony Warp on my poor Flickerflames and Thief Novices. ---Gerrard's Mom Alright, I got my script working, but I still don't know why it no longer line wraps properly. Anyone more well versed in HTML have a clue? ---Seeonee Nevermind, it was those funny characters in Freshwater Nymph's comment. ---Seeonee About this spell: the current wording is hardest to disrupt. Only way to make it harder would be having the spell target nothing, and that's not fair. ---Seeonee
